Marsh Green Town Image Just over a mile south of Edenbridge, surrounded by farmland, lies the village of Marsh Green with its church and village green, with a playground.

In the surrounding countryside lies the pond at Christmas Place, once the home of the author John Osbourne; Dry Hill, site of an ancient Iron Age settlement; Gabriels Manor, believed to have been a 14th century hunting lodge; and Starborough Manor, built on the site of Starborough Castle, which was pulled down during the Civil War and some of the material used to build the Stone Bridge in Edenbridge

It is an excellent base for exploring the extensive network of public footpaths, from which there are panoramic views across the Eden Valley to the North Downs. For horse riders there are good circular rides to the south.
