Markbeech Town Image The Holy Trinity Church at Markbeech was founded in the 19th century during the gothic revival, and features ornate decoration in the Sanctuary.

In June a popular annual folk ale festival is hosted at the Kentish Horse pub. The pub is believed to be the only one of that name in the country.

The local cricket club was founded in 1865 and is located on the Falconhurst estate grounds, after which the club is named.

On the western side of the village is Dry Hill, an Iron Age fortress.
