Haxted is a small collection of houses and farms set between two areas of outstanding natural beauty. The hamlet stretches for the most part along the Haxted Road, linking Edenbridge with Lingfield in Surrey. There is an extensive footpath network, some of it running along the Eden Brook, and some magnificent views to the North Downs and the High Weald.
Haxted is famous for its Watermill Museum. More information on its history, opening hours and the adjacent Haxted Mill Brasserie can be found on www.haxtedmill.co.uk/watermill.html. |
