Local Produce. Eden Valley Kent

Whether it’s freshly baked bread, prime cuts of the finest meat or a bottle of traditional ale, local producers in and around the Eden Valley offer a huge range of goods right on your doorstep.

These are available at many outlets, from the farmers’ markets held in Edenbridge and Penshurst, to local ale produced at the Westerham brewery and the numerous farm shops selling a range of products.

In addition, you will find delicious locally sourced produce in many of the traditional pubs and quality restaurants across the valley.
By buying local products that are produced in an environmentally responsible way, you are directly helping to conserve the landscape, wildlife and historic features of the area.

Your purchases also support local jobs, community services and the rural economy.

Additionally, you are buying fresher and more nutritious food and other products, with the reassurance of knowing who produces them and how.
As well as trying to buy local produce, buying food when it is in season really adds to the benefits, both the freshness but more importantly the flavour!

What’s in season can change regularly and to help you, have a look at Produced in Kent’s guide to seasonal produce (Click here to view).

Produced in Kent is encouraging people not only to be aware of and appreciate local products and services, but to go one step further and buy local. Click here to find out more.
